Mission‑critical infrastructure for Australia's Tier‑1 energy and resources companies — from remote mining power to advanced cryogenic transport.
Woodside and EDL formed a downstream joint venture to deliver clean, reliable and affordable LNG to the mining market. Central to their business was the need for a more durable, maintainable fleet of LNG tanker trailers — running gear and perlite insulation failure on imported trailers was an ongoing issue.
AMG designed and developed the complete engineering package to deliver optimum payload within regulatory and safety limits. Our double‑wall, ultra‑vacuum insulation eliminated perlite settlement and boil‑off, while Australian designed and fabricated running gear proved incredibly reliable — surviving the Pilbara like no other.
Deliverable as a standard package in just six months from order. Repeat orders followed, and the tanker developed for Woodside / EDL has been refined into the industry benchmark, now in use by other major players in the sector.

Through its EVOL brand, Wesfarmers operated a trucked LNG delivery service to mine sites across the Mid‑West and Eastern Goldfields of WA. AMG was contracted to provide an initial twenty‑five 40ft ISO container tanks for haulage from the Kwinana LNG plant to remote end‑users with no pipeline gas.
The challenge was the survivability of the vessels and mounting frames — earlier cryogenic tanks from other suppliers had suffered internal baffle and valve failures. AMG worked closely with its manufacturing partners to ensure build quality robust enough to provide a dependable working solution.
The fleet became a mainstay of the EVOL delivery model. Requiring no specialist vehicles beyond standard shipping‑container equipment, with integrated unloading for almost seamless integration into end‑user power generation, it delivers reliable, low‑carbon LNG to remote communities and mines.
Multiple 370kL LNG site storage tanks and vapourisation skids for the Abra, Coburn, Thunderbird and Pilbara Minerals operations — reliable gas for remote power.
Multiple 55kL LNG semi‑trailers alongside 370kL site storage tanks and vapourisation skids supporting remote mining power generation.
Specialised anhydrous ammonia rail tankers and semi‑trailers — extending AMG's capability beyond LNG into other critical industrial gases.
Purpose‑designed 55kL LPG road tankers for the WA market, built to travel the corrugated outback roads delivering LPG to the mines.
LNG storage and vapourisation infrastructure supporting reliable, lower‑carbon power at remote mining operations.
