Cryogenic LNG ISO Containers

T75 cryogenic ISO tanks for flexible transport, storage and fleet leasing.

ISO Containers

AMG's customised ISO containers are engineered for the safe transport and storage of cryogenic liquids including LNG, LPG, LCO₂ and ammonia. Rugged and self-contained, they require no specialist vehicles or materials-handling equipment beyond that used for standard shipping containers.

We delivered over 30 T75 LNG ISO containers to Wesfarmers' EVOL business for remote LNG-to-power supply. Engineered for survivability in transit, with integrated unloading equipment, they have become a mainstay of the EVOL delivery model.

Key features

  • T75 and 40ft ISO frame configurations
  • Robust internal baffling for transit survivability
  • Multi-modal — road, rail and sea
  • Integrated unloading equipment
  • Standard handling, no specialist vehicles
  • Fleet leasing available

Case study · Wesfarmers · EVOL — 30+ T75 LNG ISO containers

Earlier cryogenic tanks from other suppliers had suffered internal baffle and valve failures in transit. AMG worked with its manufacturing partners on build quality robust enough to survive the haul from the Kwinana LNG plant to remote Mid-West and Eastern Goldfields sites. The fleet became a mainstay of the EVOL delivery model.

Frequently asked questions

What is a T75 ISO container?

T75 is the IMO tank-container type designation for refrigerated liquefied gases — the classification that covers cryogenic service. It means the tank sits in a standard ISO frame, so it can be handled, stacked and transported using ordinary container equipment.

Do I need specialist equipment to handle them?

No. That is one of the main advantages over a dedicated tanker. Anything that handles a standard shipping container will handle these units, across road, rail and sea.

Why do internal baffles matter?

Liquid surging inside a partly filled tank puts severe cyclic loads on the internal structure. Baffle and valve failures were exactly the problem Wesfarmers had experienced with earlier suppliers, so transit survivability was the central design requirement on that programme.

Can I lease rather than buy?

Yes. Fleet leasing is available with flexible commercial terms, which suits variable or project-length demand better than outright purchase.

What can be carried in them?

LNG, LPG, LCO₂, ammonia, liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen, subject to the appropriate configuration and CSG, IMDG and ADG Code requirements for the commodity and route.
